Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Precision Hope ("Precision Hope," "we," "us") collects, how we use and protect it, the limited circumstances in which it may be shared, and the choices and rights you have. We've written it in plain English because you deserve to understand exactly what happens to your family's information.

By creating an account and using Precision Hope, you agree to this Policy together with our Terms of Service.

1. Who This Applies To

Precision Hope is intended for use by parents, guardians, and adult caregivers (18 or older) who are managing medical information on behalf of a patient, often a child. Accounts are created and controlled by an adult. We do not knowingly allow children to create their own accounts.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what is needed to operate the service:

We do not collect payment information (there is no paid tier at this time), advertising identifiers, or precise location data.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information only to provide and protect the service for your family:

We do not use your information for advertising, behavioral profiling, or any purpose unrelated to operating Precision Hope for you.

4. Third-Party AI Processing

Important: When you upload lab files or images, and when you send chat messages or generate explanations or questions, that content is transmitted to trusted third-party AI providers to power those features. This means your uploaded documents and messages leave our server and are processed by those providers' systems.

Data submitted to these providers is handled under their own terms and privacy policies. We send only the content needed to perform the requested feature; we do not send your email address or account identifiers as part of that content. If our set of providers changes, this Policy continues to apply and we will keep the disclosure here current.

5. Optional Sharing to Help Other Families

Off by default. Your choice. Precision Hope includes an optional feature that lets you contribute your child's de-identified data to help other families. It is turned off unless you explicitly opt in for a given patient, and you can withdraw at any time.

If — and only if — you opt in:

If you never opt in, none of your family's data is ever placed in this shared pool.

6. What We Do NOT Do

7. Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Precision Hope's own server, associated privately with your account. We use access controls, encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and per-account isolation so that one family cannot access another's data. No system is perfectly secure; we take reasonable measures and ask that you upload only what you need.

8. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active so the service works for you. When you delete your account (Section 10), your data is removed promptly. De-identified data you contributed under Section 5 is removed when you withdraw or delete your account. Routine server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operations.

9. Children's Data

Precision Hope exists to help adults navigate medical information for a patient who is often a child. Accounts are created and controlled by a parent, guardian, or adult caregiver. We collect children's health-related information only as you provide it for that purpose, store it privately in your account, and treat it as sensitive. We do not knowingly permit anyone under 18 to create an account. If you believe a child has created an account or that a child's data has been handled incorrectly, contact us at [email protected] and we will address it promptly.

10. Your Rights and Choices

You are in control of your family's data. You can:

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA; we honor deletion and access requests regardless of location.

11. Cookies and Sessions

We use a single, essential session cookie to keep you securely logged in. We do not use advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking cookies.

12. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, ask you to review and re-consent. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
